Privacy policy

Take Coupon (part of Take Card) respects your privacy and protects your personal data in line with the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) and its implementing regulations.

Data we collect

  • Account data: email address, optional display name, preferred language and password (stored hashed — we can never read it).
  • Content you add: coupons you submit, your "did it work?" votes, favorites and reports.
  • Usage data: when you copy a code or click through to a store we record it together with an irreversible, salted hash of your IP address. We do not store the IP address itself. Links to stores carry generic tags (such as utm_source=takecoupon) that tell the store the visit came from Take Coupon; they contain no information about you.
  • Partnership requests: contact details you send through the "For business" page.

Why we use it

  • To run your account and let you submit coupons and follow their review status.
  • To send service emails (email confirmation, coupon published or rejected, password reset).
  • To protect the site from abuse and spam (rate limits and bot checks).
  • To improve the service using aggregated statistics that do not identify you.

We do not sell your personal data and do not use it for targeted advertising.

Cookies

We only use cookies that are necessary for the site to work: your login session, protection against forged requests (CSRF) and your language preference. Your dark-mode choice is stored only in your browser.

Sharing

We share the minimum necessary data with service providers acting on our behalf: our hosting provider, our email provider, Cloudflare Turnstile (bot protection) and our error-monitoring service. We disclose data to competent authorities when legally required.

Retention

We keep your account data while your account exists. You can delete your account yourself at any time from Settings → Delete my account, which removes your personal data immediately; or ask us by email and we will do it within 30 days. Data the law requires us to keep is the only exception. Published coupons may remain visible without being linked to you.

Your rights

You have the right to access your data, receive a copy, correct it, request its destruction and withdraw your consent. You can change your name and language on the Settings page.
